Will an Epic-160 do what I want it to?

Okay, so I really enjoy my system listening to rap and things with massive beat already there.

But when I play rock I'd like more kick to my subs.

Would an epic 160 bump up the preout voltage so I could get more kick out of rock, or is it just to enhance older music.

Just curious if it would do that? I'm a newbie with epicenters/equalizers.

Thanks

not sure if its a line driver or not but a line driver wont solve the issue of older recordings and some rock not having bass, its a synthesizer, buy it and try it out, its pretty neat
What he said, just buy it and see if you like the end result

If not sell/return that *****

Yes it will. Just push the "restoration" button and turn the "frequency" knob down until you hit the frequency you want bass and increase/decrease the "width" knob to set the frequency range you want it to play.

i recently purchased the epic-160 and im really pleased with it's bass restoration, as a matter of fact after using it u will wonder why u didnt purchase it earlier. It puts bass emphasis where it was lacking before that's it. Trust me it's a really good toy for music that's lacking in bass, it even works on certain rap music that the bass frequencies have either been cut or just low

I've heard that the 360 has some noise issues. Like a hiss coming from the speakers.

But that was a while back when I heard of it, too, so maybe they fixed it?

Hmm idk, I helped install a 360.2 in a new caddy, guy had a bunch of old tapes he wanted to play. Thing sounded great.

But then again OP's problem is a tad different

Ya, I'm open to suggestions though :p

Don't wanna bust much more than 200 if I can. I also like to know a semi-close range to the db's i'm hitting (berely ever comps in MN)

never got tested >.
