Will a Universal Factory Sound System Interface help?

I installed a new headunit in my car which already had a 'premium' system. I've been hearing a lot of hissing from my speakers as the volume gets turned up and I am 95% sure its not the ground. And I can't change the gain in the amp, so I think this will help. Will it?

What kind of car? And why are you so sure it's not the ground?
2005 Pontiac Vibe with moon and tunes. And because my friend who knows a lot about electronics checked it out and tried something where he grounded the wires to a couple different places and it didn't make a difference.

What kind of head unit? Did you bypass the factory amp when you installed the new head unit or did you use a factory integration harness?
Pioneer, I forgot model and stuff, but I can check later. And I just used the harness that crutchfield sent me. I am 99% sure its still going to the amp.
