Will a RF bd500.1 power two type r's?

Just like the title will my punch bd500.1 be able to power two 12" type r's? I had two MTX 6000 hooked up before and it powered them perfectly. If not what subs would you recogmend for me? Also I dont want just a single sub.

It will run one of them fine, but not two. You need atleast twice that power to give them what they need.

How do you think it would sound? I've heard that "underpowering" subs will blow them then I've heard that they wont. I really like the amp I have now and dont really want to upgrade it but my old mtx 6000 blew and now I need some subs what would you recogemend I get to go with the amp I have now?

if you can, get an identical amp, and then power the 2 type R's, otherwise. Just get 1 type R for that amp. Why don't you want a single sub setup?

Yea thats what I was thinking of doing, I dont want a single sub because I already have a custom made box for my two and I dont really have the spare time to make another one.

just hook the amp up and see if you like it..i had a bd500 years back and it was a pretty strong amp.

its going to be just as loud with 2 subs off 1 amp, compared to 1 off 1 amp..so just try it out.

well fosgate amp usually put out more than rated so i would try hooking them up first before anything

power one sub it will be nice and loud then install both and you got your self a passive radiator

both subs will move only one will take power you may fool some of your noob buddies
