Anyone like the JL 300/4?

My stuff got jacked recently. I'm looking at going to a single amp to potentially drive my front (Rainbow CS230's) and rears (Alpine Type R 6x9's) instead of having 2 seperate amps. Long story short...I can get a JL 300/4 to do the job.

Previous to the rip off..I had been using a Profile AP1040 bridged (225 watts rms I think) to drive the Rainbows and an older Hafler for the 6x9's. I will be getting another JL 500/1 to drive my 2 JL 10w6v2 subs.

So...will I be happy with that setup? I'm going to be getting an Alpine cda-9855 deck as the head unit.

i think its a pretty good amp

although, are you sure you want to power BOTH subs with only one 500/1? you can sufficiently power them with a different amp and save a lot of money, unless youre trying to stick with one brand.

I was powering both my 10w6v2's before on a single JL 500/1 and it sounded great. Lots of punch and clarity. I love the tweakability of all the options you have on the amp. It gave me alot more options as far as finding a way to make it not so boomy and more punchy.

I'm wondering if the tweakabilty will give me alot of options if I run a 300/4 on my fronts and rears. I may end up just bridging it and getting another small amp for the rears.

I like mine, but I'm going to eventually upgrade to the 450/4...

the 450/4 it's TITS!

I also have a 300/4 and drive both of my component sets with it and it is pretty clean.

I would recommend the 450/5 if you want to stick with using rear speakers. You don't need or want nearly as much power going to the back as you do to the front.

I'd love to go with a 450/4...but just a little too much over budget. If needed...I can bridge the 300/4 and hook up an older Sony 60 watt x 2 that I've got for the rears.

the 500/1 on two 12w6 sounds great, my friend had that same setup a while ago - it is really loud

PM - I have a pretty new 500/1 for sale. I just bought it with my 13W7 and it wasn't loud enough, so I upgraded to a 1000/1.
