will a 130amp alternator power a kicker 1500.1-300.4?

IDK about the strain it might but if you get a 2nd battery i doubt that there would be any problems because it would just be pulling off the battery but im not 100% sure about all that

Statement:

BIG 3 in 1/0 is good... But if you don't have 1/0 running through your car, it might not make that big of a difference. BUT still good.

As far as the Strain thing goes - a 130A alt w/ charge your 2 batts. If everything is done correctly and is secure. Also, if you have a Capicator, make sure it's the correct Farad plus some.

Ex: 130A Alt, 2 batts, and a .5 cap .... Ain't gonna mix.

The 130A Ford is a strong alt. I wouldn't mess with a 2nd battery unless you listen with the engine off a lot.

As long as the engine's running the alternator is the highest voltage in the system and provides all the current up to the point where its current capacity is maxed out, system voltage drops to 12-12.5 - then the battery becomes the supply. Ideally that rarely/never happens.
