will 2 hds 315's work well off 1 cab or do they need more power?

I got amp in yesterday man it's big and heavy.. kid came and got it, it maybe awhile before he even hooks it up he's talking about trading trucks, but I think he's wanting to get 1 fu 750 d4 make box see how it does at 1200rms if he likes it he can get another and do 2nd or bigger box.. if he wires it to his subs before then i'll let u know hoe much louder it was than a crossfire with 1/2 the power anyway.. wanted to run 1200 to my pioneer lol..
Absolutely..Id like to hear how it turns out for you.

Are you still looking for an fu15? I've had one collecting dust that needs a home
WOW sorry i just saw this.. u didn't like it? not really i think he wants 2 15's or 1 18.. but what ohm is it and how much shipped to 27330..

well kid wired his cab, he did 0ga big 3 2nd battery under hood it all looks good (needs wire loom) amp works well subs just don't seem much louder than off the vr602 crossfire (720rms or so a/b amp) I adjusted amp as best I could where it's was mounted, gain below 1/2 way (2.5v jvc preamp) some of problem is hu but I think his truck just *****.. he put my pioneer in there 2ohm shoulda had 1200rms wasn't any louder than in my car with 500rms but my pioneer was just as loud as both his orion hp 12's my old ones louder in my car on crossfire too (he was supposed to have all his stuff sold guy never gave him $ he waiting for that to get 15's).. so amp works but he spent 4 hours doing big 3 with fuses and paid $200 for amp and really gained nothing idk whats up with it.. if I had 0 ga in my car I'd stick cab in and see if it's twice as loud as mine but I can't with 4ga I guess..

my old orion hp 12 d4 wired 2 ohm each, 3cf ad ported (orion recommened) i had guy make it to my specs many yrs ago.. i took it out of my car cause it was destroying my trunk 8yrs ago (with amp bridged over little 700rms) and put 1 in same box i'm using now wired 8ohm about 350rms from same crossfire amp (also same one he just replaced with cab) but no matter what we do it just not as loud in his truck

What truck? What is box tuning?
full size chevy 2 door but had full back seat he pulled out., we tried facing subs up and back but forward seems best for that box (38hz) I fired my sub into corner and I think it was as loud as both orions so I don't get it.. maybe 32 hz or a sealed wall would be better or somewhere in between.

Subs up port side or subs forward port up would be loudest in there.
Box itself probably just doesnt vibe with cabin
that's what I been telling him and I don't do big trucks.. I told him someone here said only way he could fire subs into cabin of car was with port on side.. so u think if he makes a box (or we close of slot port on old box and) cut hole in top and put like a 8" port on top it would work., i'll see if he wants to try with old box be cheapest easiest test.. ps the dual 12 ported box in my gallery with black e designs in it is the box he has

Isnt he getting 15s? Just get the 15s and build it right the first time
if he sells the 12's., I'm saying before building a new box could use the 12's to test top or side port.. maybe we find someone here with box like that let him borrow it for 10mins

I had a single cab 1987 Toyota with 4 Still Water Kicker 10s in it, all in sealed enclosures back in 88. Still one of the best systems Ive ever enjoyed of many.I had a dual chamber behind the seat i built out of 5/8 plywood,a took two angled truck boxes and inverted them, one behind each seat head rest which left me space between the seats and room to place my pair of 99 Mean machines stacked with room to breathe in between,XEC 1000 under the Pass seat, with a Mean 66HC,two 44s,had JBL GTQ 6x9s in boxes in front floor firing up,two sets of tweets on the dash on ea side and a pair of JBL components in the doors and old concord HU cassette deck and that Joker was pretty loud and fairly clean back then for a single cab.You may have to pay with different enclosures.I had a pair of SA 12s that I built 7 different enclosures and just couldnt get what I wanted out of them(got tired of them..My Old school Audiobaun AW 1008Ts so much better)..Ended up with a pair of XFL 12s, and made a world of difference/made me happy, later placed 4 with more power. The older CrossFire A/B amps just seem to sound and deliver so much better than alot of newer amps in the same class.I still run old school amps in my Honda, and up front is a Crossfire 100.2 running @2ohms stereo, and sounds excellent.Enclosure and the environment/air space is everything along with tuning is what makes a sub/subs perform at theyre best, and good power.Ive had a single ten serve justice on 400 watts @2ohms mono, yet, we always thrive for more

I have the X-cab chevy 98..Ive just pulled 4-12s to build a better enclosure/wall this time.(Under construction ATM again,LOL)But XFL 12s really serve well.I have in 2.0@33htz each chamber/4 chambers, subs up ports up..With approx 5k rms on them.It is all I could do to keep my dash in tact,3 layers of 80 mill sound deadner throughout the entire cab, roof still flexed badly.I had keep it down a bit/maybe just above 1/2 gains.Ill be replacing my 255 amp alt with a 270 I have/maybe 2-270s,Ill try the first one on 6 batts see how it serves first. For a single 12..Id do at min of 2.0 up to 2.6 for a 1k rms 12 in most cases tuned to approx 32-34 htz.Depends on the sub and specs of course.Ive taken some Cheap azzed Lanzar Max Pro tens in ea single enclosure 2--1.6@34 htz on a (( Mean Machine 99 in a 1990 240sx) and they slammed theyre azzez off enough to make my eyes squint.Get the enclosure right and the power/supply going, any sub will sound decent/serve nicely.Bigger isnt always better
