Wild oscillations and ground loops.

I cut my shields at my amp input to remove a ground loop that caused alternator whine, but now when I switch on, they go wild and howl.

The head unit and amp are directly earthed to the floor pan only a couple of feet from each other.

Grounding just one of the four rcas cuts the oscillation but it is still just on the brink of instability, with occasional chirping and rumbling.
