heh oxsign. im in the same crowd as you. it was actually my wife who got me into audio hardcore. when i met her, she had a brand new 03 eclipse with two 10" black cone L5's. shit slammed in that hatchback. since then ive been addicted

Congrats on the score and cool that she shares your hobby. My GF is the same way. We met at the dragstrip since we both raced. Now she's into the car audio thing and has actually "requested" more bass, louder speakers, etc... LOL

Started out with a HU and 4 coax upgrade, then amped the coax's, now I'm throwing a set of Crystal comps in. Sub wise she had a 10" bazooka tube, then a 15" Tempest sealed, and now a 15" FI Q in a ported box. I ofter hear her pulling up in the driveway and it always makes me smile to see her enjoying her tunes.

We both got lucky!!!

Well I was able to talk her into going with me, and entering her first comp today. Her set up is 2 RL-i 8"s, sealed (1.3cubes) with a Directed 1500D (@1ohm). She went in, and her best numbers were 135.8 using tones.

just wondering....how many watts are you putting to those 8's? Please don't tell me the full 1200rms watts that it puts out at 1ohm. Not to rain on your parade or anything, but I have 2 Resonant Engineering RE8's in a 1.5cube ported box, running off a POS Jensen XA2250 thats bridged and is putting out 300 watts, and I hit 131db@40hz on the dash, and 133.3hz@49hz in the kick..on a TermLab.

Oh and btw, congrats for having a wife that likes competition. My wife HATES it when I'm booming. thats why I have a kill switch on my remote wire...lol

wolfman1966 Very nice score for your setup. It is a full load @ 1ohm in a sealed box, and with the gain at just under 1/4 the way up. With the right ported box, and the amp "reajusted", she'll be up there.

That blazer is gone. Sold it to Kenny (here on the forum). I drive this blazer now.
