wierd smell from L7's

this has happened twice to me in the past week now. i've got a vr2000d pushing my 2 12" L7's in 5 cu ft tuned to 32 hz. so i'm pushing them pretty good but they can handle it. but twice now i've smelt a wierd smell coming out of the box. and it's not voice coil. i've smelt plenty of voice coil before and it doesn't smell anything like it. any idea's on what it could be?

Maybe from the amp? I had a wierd smell come from my amp. Like a sulfuric burn smell. but it went away.

Although you said it's not the coils. i put my money on the L7s. those subs get stinky reallllll quick!!!!!

well i thought the amp at first since i just got it in all but the smell is coming from inside the box.

yes i did but i smelt it again and i still want some opinions on it.

well i'm not saying it's not the coils but it's i different smell then i've ever smelt from subs.
