wide box or deep box?

Yeah, I'd say go as wide and tall as possible if it's a front facing sealed-off box. If the box is facing backwards, you want it short so the sound waves can bounce of the trunk and then go over the box back into the cabin. But since it's facing the cabin, making it tall and wide would make less work sealing it off, and save trunk space so you can still put shit in there, or make the box even bigger if need be.
