wide box or deep box?

i plan on sealing the trunk off with teh box pushed all the way towards cabin and sealing around it.. now should the box be wider and kind of short or narrower but a deep box? i will be using 2x 4" ports and a single 12"

man i was planning on doing the same thing but everyone said it was a bad idea unless its 100% sealed off

depends on which makes it easier to seal off. i would go wider myself, I don't like real deep boxes

Yeah, I'd say go as wide and tall as possible if it's a front facing sealed-off box. If the box is facing backwards, you want it short so the sound waves can bounce of the trunk and then go over the box back into the cabin. But since it's facing the cabin, making it tall and wide would make less work sealing it off, and save trunk space so you can still put shit in there, or make the box even bigger if need be.
