hey wich wiring would be safer i have 2 infinity kappa perfect 12d vq dvc 4ohm. and my amp is a soundstorm f2800. now wich would be safer 1 sub per channel wired down to 2ohm each, or briding the amp and wiring the subs together for 4ohm? my amp got really hot and went on protection and never came off protection. i took it apart nothin looked burned up ima try it again just to see what happens. my buddy hooked these subs up in his car 1 sub per channel wired to 2ohm and it got really hot he said so is the way im wiring not good and i should bridge it or what? thx for your advice

The amp is probably shot.

Soundstorm is on the bottom of the car audio quality pile. Look into a new amp.

2 ohms stereo = 4 ohms mono. You will get the same power out of both ways. I would bridge it, though because id rather have a mono signal to my subs rather than stereo.

and yes, soundstorm is quite bottom line

yeah i got it for dirt cheap so no big deal. im currently looking for a class d amp hopefully i can find a used memphis for a good price or even a hifonics. just hope i come across a good deal. also yeah i thing the amp is shot to itll turn on then after like 3 seconds go to protection.
