i ahve 2 tens in a sealed box in a reg cab truck and when i roll the windows down it get louder byitself....why..it's like 2 totally different subs.

this is normal. it's probably loudest with just one window down, but that's somewhat vehicle specific.

It is caused by cancelation. When the window is down you let the waves that cause it escape, in turn making the bass louder, clearer, and all around better.

I have the same thing with my truck. The bass is so much clearer and thicker when the windows are down. Having the windows up really muffles the bass.

Same thing happened to me b4 when i use a sealed box in my truck. think of the cab as like a giant sealed box, now when u roll ur windows down it "acts" like a ported box making it sound louder. Yeah, but now with my 5.5 cube ported box...plus my truck being deadened pretty well...rolling windows doesn't mkae it louder...but opening ym door does. peace
