Yeah... Not a fan of the confederate flag, never have been. Most people I have known that "represent" the confederate flag have been ignorant of other races, prejudice, or racist. From my experiences, the confederate flag represents southern ignorance and prejudice. Maybe it means something else to some, but in the hundreds of people I've met that "represent" this flag, those traits have been consistent. (Exclude Dukes of Hazard, although IDR any black folk in that flick)
As far as the article that was posted early on goes, that was again ignorant. Specifically this part:
Anyone who thinks that White and black people look as different as we do on the outside, but are somehow magically the same on the inside, is delusional. How could our faces, skin, hair, and body structure all be different, but our brains be exactly the same? This is the nonsense we are led to believe. ******* have lower Iqs, lower impulse control, and higher testosterone levels in generals. These three things alone are a recipe for violent behavior. If a scientist publishes a paper on the differences between the races in Western Europe or Americans, he can expect to lose his job. There are personality traits within human families, and within different breeds of cats or dogs, so why not within the races?
Black folks most defiantly do not have lower IQs. I have known many black folks, brought up in a very good environment, who were top of their class. Just because they are black doesn't make them stupid. Many are brought up in a poor environment and learn the wrong ways because of generations of poor upbringings, and poor neglectful parenting. A white man with the same upbringing generally doesn't turn up much better... White trash. It isn't the child's fault they were brought up to be gang bangers or something like that. When your 10 and that seems like the cool thing, that what you do. When I was young, I though Math, and Building/Designing was the beez neez, now I'm an Engineer, and that is because my mom saw my gifts early on and helped me nurture my talent... Good parenting. Many black folks don't get put into this type of environment, and some that do end up playing in sports, making music, and plain and simple being decent human beings in this society. You know many rappers and hip-hop artist are actually very educated folks? Some of them were top of their HS class and college class. They aren't just stupid ******* with rhythm.
The author of this is just caught up is stereotypes and not the real thing. Stereotypes do come to be because of a majority, and that is unfortunate. But there are plenty of minorities of the minority stereotype that disprove it. My ladies sisters man is black, and I accept him like my brother, just like my ladies brother. He is family, he isn't strange because he is black. He is just an everyday person like the rest of us, if you don't believe that, then like it or not, your a prejudice.
End rant, didn't realize I hated racism and ignorance so much.
EDIT: I didn't touch on the other subjects like lower impulse control and testosterone, but both are untrue. I've know many MANY more white people with way worse impulse control than the black folk I know. I for one, am one of them. And Testosterone? I'd like to see a study proving that. This article was full of suggestive information and limited facts.
