Nothing to do with education. America is full of opinionated idiots. Goes both ways. People start having one just because they can even though they have no merit. The confederate flag represents a lot. Had the confederacy prevailed and formed its own country, no telling this would be the powerful nation it is today. Some of us would now be living in another "country." The inspiration behind their stand is the heavy reliance on slave labor, which is less than admirable.
