Why the 04/05 XXX is so Badass??

Can anyone give me a run down of why this sub is so highly sought after? I mean, I've read nothing but great reviews (never anything negative) about this sub on the SQ and SPL level. I've searched and searched and nothing says anything specific about the XBL or anything.

I'm going to be building one up for my next sub and just wanted to see what everyone's/anyone's thoughts were.

I just can't figure out why ava motors are going for 100ish, but XXX motors go for almost 3 times as much, lawl. Oh yeah and we can't forget the uber rare super top secret nasa techonolgy "Brahma extreme" and the price they go for.

So its all about this xbl stuff??? Why is it that other drivers that use that technology arent hyped up as much?

The XXX is probably the most SPL oriented XBL^2 driver to date -- they used a very beefy coil and suspension on the driver so you can abuse it alot more than many other XBL drivers made for more SQ and less SPL.

I figured as much that it had to do with the ability to taking more a beating yet produce accurate frequency producition across the spectrum. Why did RE/Fi quit using this design?

adire wanted a grip load of money on the royalites. and ascendant and adire kinda got into a fued which I think started it all. it is still used but not as mainstream as it was. oh and when you get her built you'll find out as to why they are so popular lol. the xxx does has a beefy coil. I think it us a 4 layer flat wound and the avalanche used a round wire coil. almost looks as if they both share the same top plate.

That was my next guess. That something having to do with money, on probably Adaire side since they hold the patent. Do the Brahma's have the XBL too?
