why is my subs cut out

i just bought a hifonics brutus 1500d and that thing is a beast when i start playin my music my subs will cut out and the the amp power will cut on and off and then eventually it goes into protect please help me with some solutions other than buy a new battery because i am gonna buy a yellow top eventually

maybe the ohm load is too low for the amp, do you have it bridged of running stereo, there may be a tear in the speaker wire grounding out on chassis, poor ground all of these make the amp cut off under strain or can make it go into protect mode................also id advise buying another amp HIFONICS = POOP

Sounds like voltage dropping. Lower your gains and check the voltage with a DMM while playing your system.

samething happen to me...when i turned the bassboost all the way it went into protection mode...i had to send it back i had know clue what happend to it...other thatn HiFonics is crap
