Why Is My Amp Running So Hot?

Hey all, I was wondering why my amp is running so hot and cutting out to cool down?

It is a Sony XM-SD22X and I have it hooked to a 400 RMS Sundown Audio Dual VC sub wired to 4 OHM.

The RMS bridged is 500 RMS for the amp and 400 RMS for the sub so I dont think I am over exerting the amp?

I verified all connections/grounds. You can cook an egg on that thing!
