If you think the guy is a dick then you should have just not dealt with him and left it at that. Instead you create a thread where you know you are going to get flamed to hell.

I wouldn't say Don is really rude but I am from TN and he is from up North. Northen people talk different than southern people. I was kinda confused at first as well.

It says you are from NJ as well so I would figure yall are used to that kind of interaction.

"Just so I understand correctly, you are going to be buying new equiptment and then you just want me for the install? Is there something wrong with the product lines I offer? Just curious..."
That is what he said in the PM. All i need to know is, why would that be something you would need say to a potential customer? it's ridicolous, and he did not need to word it like that at all.
Are you serious?

In no way does that seem rude.

doesnt seem to me like he was being a dick he asked a legitmate question that any owner/installer would ask why should he install something for you when you are openly stating you are going to buy new equipment elsewhere and just want him/them for the install

I don't think that is rude at all. I think that is opening for negotiation. You could say my needs are x,y,and z but none of your producrs meet my needs, but your installation capabilities do.

well, my reason was I actually have most of my equipment already since I pulled it out of my old car. All i needed was a set of components and a new head unit. i got a used head unit one because i didn't feel like paying tons again for a new one. I was going to buy rainbows from Don even though he charged 30 dollars more than another dealer on here, but i didn't care because i felt it was worth it because it would probably balance out with install charges anyway, but now that is not going to happen anymore. So that is the reason, not because I went out and bought a system from someone else, but because i pulled the system out of my old car when i sold it, and it is a perfectly good functioning system. Assumptions are a bad thing, and there is no reason to lash out at people just because they are not familiar with how car audio shops operate.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

where the **** was he rude? seriously you are a jackass and for his sake i'm glad you aren't doing business with him cause he doesn't need some dumbass customer with a stick up his *** at his shop. i thought you said you were gonna stop making stupid threads?

You are still just as stupid as the day you joined. You havent matured or learned a bit from this place have you?

Jesus christ...

Don just PM'd me and asked me to simply copy and paste what he said.

Ill respond, but you can simply paste it to avoid opening-closing in timely matters...I asked a simple question of 'is there something wrong with the products I have' and even followed with 'just curious'. I asked this thinking maybe theres is something that you wanted that you didnt think I had or couldnt offer. The question was meant in terms to help not hurt. And as stated out of curiosity. If you had something already that you wanted to use then a simple reply of "Im happy with what I have and just need an install' would have sufficed, or anything alone those lines. Making a rediculous post of me asking a simple yet innocent question is completely rediculous. I have and will continue to install outside equipment.

As far as your Eclipse 'issue', sorry sir, your STILL in the wrong. I told you it needed to be installed by an authorized dealer for the full warranty...you got a year. Full warranty (at that time) is Three years and ESN theft coverage. I said nothing wrong then and I still stick by it. Apparently your feelings towards me are still based on Misunderstanding on Your part.

Thank ya sir. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
