What's up CA brahs, I have big 3 updated, and a 250 amp alt. Why are my lights dimming the *** out when my bass is barely up?

While driving. The lights dim like crazy. It does 150 at idle.

check your big 3 and what battery do you have? At idle you ma only be making 125amps, so you are pulling from your battery almost immediatly. And even if your getting the full 225 out of your alt, that 3500 is ******* way more than that, so you need batts, like 2 hc-2000s.

I'm just giving high farad capacitors. Never used one and i'm sure many will hate on me for even mentioning capacitor but their has been a lot of people that actually say capacitors have helped with their dimming light issue.

I'm just giving high farad capacitors. Never used one and i'm sure many will hate on me for even mentioning capacitor but their has been a lot of people that actually say capacitors have helped with their dimming light issue.

It may act as a buffer but a good battery will buffer and actually give you reserve capacity so pretty much eliminating the need for a capacitor.

ya well i rather buy like a kinetik 2400 but those get up in the $200 range. I'm sure he can find a good C&D Tech battery thats just as good as the kinetik 2400 for like $150.
