Uh maybe because nascar makes rich people money, and the fact that rich people( and nascar is pretty dam gay if ya ask me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifSince gas prices are so high right now, and everything, why cant we put a little hold on all those motor sports that use a lot of gas for each car just to run a lot of laps around a large circle?I dont have anything agaisnt NASCAR or anything like that, im just saying if we put a small hold on all those type of "sports" for a month, or however long it takes to sort things out with the gas issues, wouldnt it lower the prices a good bit for all of us who need gas to actaully get places?
I understand these people need money, and this is their job to drive a car around a circle for what seems like an endless period of time, but ****...
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif GeniusJust for you that dont know the race cars also use leaded fuel and our cars use unleaded and it does take the same oil to make but i dont think it takes the same amount so its actually makes really no difference for them to stop or keep goin.
The NASCAR fuel is a different composition and it takes more barrels to refine each gallon of hi-per. fuel.500 mile track6 mpg
500/6 = 83.333 gallons
43 cars * 83.333 gallons = 3583.333 gallons
Average daily fuel consumption in the US in 2004 = 20.5 million barrels
1 barrel = 42 gallons
20,500,000*42 = 861,000,000 gallons
3583.333/861000000 = 0.000004161826945 (0.0004161826945%)
0.0004% of the DAILY consumption in the US (let alone the world) ...
Congrats on being wrong ...
