A one ohm stable amp to run three Dual4 subs at 300RMS a pop? Keep in mind with three subs the ohms get funny. If you do it in parallel on three subs then you dropped to 0.6666666ohms which is probably why the amp shut off.

 
Oh shit, C10's. Sorry man, I was thinking CVRs. Regardless you were dropping to 1.3333 then and it could still kill an amp in that situation. Or at least make 'er shut down.

I -think- most of the Hifonics Brutus amps are 1ohm stable, and seems like a lot of people like those (although they get some shit on the boards). Get the 1200watt one and since it's 900 at 2ohm and 1200 at 1ohm, if you keep the gains low that should be fine.

The MTXs are the same VC config, so its not a problem with the amp since he would have the same ohm load... my guess is he wired them wrong or turned the gain up too much
