OK i have an 15" re sx powered by a pa ov1-4000, before i get bashed for the PA its the same amp as the soundstream pca1500. Currently i have a stock deck in my 05 lincoln ls (i like it how it is)...i run an LOC to get rca to run my amp. I have the sub in a 4 cu ft box @ 32 hz. Now the problem is on certain songs my sub sounds like complete ***...it cant seem to hit certain notes and sometimes can't keep up with the music. On other songs that have long extended bassnotes that are low freq like "late night tip" it bangs.and sounds good while doing it ( i got metered @ 142 on that song) Now my question is could this be caused by the low output voltage from my LOC? Would an Eq help since i have basically no control of any freqs with my stock HU. If so i was thinkin about gettin a clarion eq that also boost the output voltage to 7 volts. Also the sub doesnt like hitting higher bass notes... Let me know what you think. Also on another note.. I am looking to buy a 4 channel amp that i can bridge for my component set that i am purchasing. (RSD's) Im looking at the memphis 16-mc2400 the specs are 50x4 @ 4 ohms and i think 75x4 @ 2. I cant find a rating for 4 ohms bridged. On the newer memphis model Mca2004 its 150x2 @ 4 ohms bridged. DOes anone know what he rating is and how these amps perform. Any suggestions on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
