after playing past volume 35, my amp will shut off and come back on in a few seconds. I dont understand why. amp is kenwood 9103D. im wired at 2 ohms. 900W RMS. Runnin 2 subs. Amp is mono channel with 2 +s and 2 -s

runnin 4 gauge with a 80w agu fuse. any reasons?

i think they are set at .05 right now.
You dont just arbitrary set your gains, you can tune it by ear or use this calculation

Voltage= Sqrt(Watts x Ohms)

=Sqrt(900w x 2 ohms)

=Sqrt(1800)

=42.42V

Just Loop a 40hz or 50hz 0dB test tone (after you unplug you speakers) and look for 42.42 volts at the speaker terminal and that is the correct position for your gain

Also you want to set you gains with your HU at the max undistorted volume position. On my alpine I choose 18 (max is 35) ie My entire system maxes at volume level 18

check the voltage at the amp while running it hard. if the voltage drops below 11 this may be the problem.
That's what I was going to suggest.

Hopefully it's staying 13v or higher. If it isn't check the voltage at the battery. If it's 13+ there you have a voltage drop somewhere in your power wiring.

If it's 13+ at the amp I'd say you just have a weak amp.

If it's
