If you are a lazy *** and like people to laugh at you then you may go ahead and run the wires through the port.

I didnt say it would affect the performance of the box. It just looks like a$$! Ya'all go and spend thousands and thousands of dollars and yet are too cheap to buy a nice little terminal cup. it just gets me wound up is all.

Same with people whom claim to compete and they have a crappy unfinished box with glue runs, poorley cut wood, and overall sloppiness. I would never personally show my system pics if it wasnt clean. No ciggarette butts layin around, no gym bag in the trunk with the subs, wires lookin like spaghetti all twisted up and layin everywhere, old soda bottles with spittle in em... maybe it is the lack of pride that irritates me. It only takes a moment more of your time to clean it up and it takes your install up to the next level!

what are the chemical differences in the properties of white paint vs. black paint?.... wouldnt it be determined on the paints ability to prevent absorption of sound? If so then it would be better to just laquer or fiberglass the inside of the box and into the port right to prevent absorption?

i would splatter my jizz on the inside of the port and light it up with a black light. everyone would be like man that glow in the dark splatter is sick, and you could be like yea, it really is sick.

FYI--- Im NOT too cheap nor do I lack pride. Its just that I have all double walls throughout my box. Running 2 MTs off of 2 orion 2500's. Its not that Im too cheap to buy terminals, actually I probably have around 70 terminal cups in stock. BUT, do I trust a piece of plastic that is less than 1/8" thick? Sure it probably will NEVER break or crack. But if it would for whatever reason, and I have to keep replacing terminal after terminal and finally decide just to run through my port, THEN what will I do with the nice little hole that has been cut out?

Dont get me wrong, Im not attacking you, just stating my point. I agree it looks a little tacky, but, meh.
