where should i tune 2 L7's

hey guys...im thinking about getting another 12" L7. i already have one and like the way it sounds so i might be getting another..i have found a box that will fit my truck and it is tuned to 33 hz...i am new to building boxes but i think i could do this one... i am just wanting my system to hit hard...where do i need to tune it to

thats what i have mine at and it is VERY loud.

10.5 cubes 2x06 L7 15's running 3400 RMS. i am VERY happy

Got mine at 31hz.

It's a Sweet low end, but the upper extension is missing. 35-37 would be nice.

can anyone help me figure up a box....i was thinking about having the subs facing up along with the port..

i can go about 36" high x 15" deep x by 40 something wide. i have never made a ported box...mine now is a pre fab //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Tuning frequency is user dependant. I crave my LOW bass. I'm tuned to 30 in my Ranger, but I want to try even lower! I've done 35 and 42 hz also. 35 as said above is best of both worlds. 42 lacked the low that I craved but was of course louder.

I agree. I hate lacking bass in the 25-30hz region. Some subs you can tune a little higher and still have this extension but it really depends.

Instead of people just throwing out numbers, how about you give us some songs that you want to be loud. Give us some rap songs that have basslines that you enjoy and gives ones that are the lowest you listen to. This can give us an idea what will actually work for you.

For me, tuning to 38hz would not be very loud and would not be very flat seeing how I enjoy music that dips below 30hz in sections. If I did 38hz, it would sound peaky for parts of the songs and then lose a lot of volume when I wanted it.

sorry the reply has taken so long...i went on a trip..

anyway....i like the lows like "late night trip", anything my lil john, young bloods, E-40...i like the deep bass you can feel...so should i tune lower..

And if you could make me a plan i would be so..so...so thankfull...
