Why does everyone hate Windows 98

I got win95 on my 486, it was upgraded from 3.1 lol

i still have 3.1!!! when the hell were all these others invented

I got copies of 3.1 and MS Dos 6 laying around, all 6 or 8 floppies it takes to install it too. Also Win 95 and Win 98 upgrade disks. Install win 3.1 and then install the win 95 or win 98 upgrade disk and your good to go lol. I personally loved 98SE and only upgraded cause I got a copy of 2k pro. I upgrade from 98se to 2k pro WELL after XP was released. I'm sorry but in this internet day and age they can't or just won't take the time to produce a solid OS that will perform right out of the box, they rely too much on the end user having internet access and being able to update periodically. I'm sorry but I like my stuff to work without stupid updates every 2 months.

98se > ME any day of the week. ME was the worst OS ever made, IMO.

If you don't have Win 1.0 then you have nothing. It is a very colorful OS.
