I use to be one of the guys that had the home stereo cabinets in the back seat. That was in 93. I have had few simple systems that did the job since then. Music to me all sounds like crap without the "full range" of sounds. I like crisp highs, clean mids and thumping bass. As long as I can hear, I will have subs and a nice setup.

I have subs because I couldn't think of anything else that would actually serve a useful purpose while being carried around in my trunk.

I don't play golf - so a bag of clubs is out....

Dead bodies eventually begin to reek pretty bad and I don't want to have to clean up the mess afterwards....

I don't work contruction and there isn't enough room in the trunk of a Prizm for very much construction material anyway....

After weighing my options (seeing as trunks are designed to carry things you don't want in the car, right?) substage equpment seemed to be the only thing that made sense!

It's been said that sub-bass only accounts for 3% of the full musical spectrum. I have a sub because I prefer it to a 97% complete audio spectrum.

i told my woman

1) audio has more resale than your purses

2) i can use most of it (the installed stuff) every day and i dont need to take it out because it doesnt match something

3) both sexes can learn to enjoy audio, i am not down with rockin the man purse

maybe,

if we say 0 -> 100hz (or wherever you want to draw the line) is x percent of the spectrum, we get x percent.

but if we look at response graphs for a factory stereo, or clock radio, we see that if we set 2500Hz as the "100%" mark and compare the slope toward sub-bass, the percentage of 'missing' audio increases exponentially.

today my girlfriend and i got into a agruement over my system. she says i spend too much money buying and selling everything. shes like" why do you have to have that much bass, do you need attention from other people. do u think your cool with your windows down." she said that systemsare for highschoolers,lol. i think your never to old to have a system. i was getting pretty pissed with her so we will just leave it at that. why do yall have systems though is my question? i just love the bass for my own enjoyment and gives me something to do.

ask her why the fuck she does her nails, does she want attention? i think she may spend to much money on polish and paint

She wants you to grow up and learn priorities. I enjoy my setup, but I would never spend good money on it before saving for a nice home and nice wheels.

I have bass because in a system without it it makes it seem like crap. Any concert has bass, so should any system - home or car.
