Why do speakers sound better?

Wondering the same thing, somebody school us on this one......I mean it makes since, but its one of those things you know in your head but can't explain in words lol
i was powering my diamonds (150 rms) with 100x2 to them and they sounded ok, but nothing special. then i put 150 watts to them with my new amp and they sound amazing, and i hear no distortion at all. They sound so good right now that i will not have to upgrade for a long time.

It's like they are 10x more efficient for some reason. Every speaker i have ever used is like this

wat?
muffled? so more watts gets rid of the invisible pillow in front of the speakers?
i agree with this, it's like there is a pillow or something in the way of the speaker when it is underpowered. I can be open minded about this all day, but i can't seem to find a logical answer as to why.

and if that is true, how do more watts get rid of this pillow? I need more of an explaination to understand this

you are asking the wrong question from the scenario you are giving.

One amp will sound the same up until clipping regardless of how many watts it is putting out

two different amps.....of course there will be some differences in the sound esp. if one is rated for higher power and less likely for a noob to clip it
