normally you cant really fit a big enough battery in the front on most cars for a decent battery bank. One advantage with a trunk battery is that each amp gets a dedicated power wire run rather then going through a distribution block which sometimes screws up the sound(had it happen to me several times). You can always make an mdf battery cage and carpet it to make it look stock and less of an eyesore. I would trade out that bamf for an efficient amp. Stay away from power accoustik, hifonics and stuff, they are all current hogs and inefficient so unless you have the proper electricals to back them up they arent gonna do a good job of powering your stuff.Well I asked about getting just one battery and selling the yellow top because I use my trunk, and do not want something else taking up more space in my trunk. (Plus batteries are an eye sore!) I'm very new to running batteries and need some recommendations of batteries that will work for my application. If two batteries are needed, or if a single giant battery becomes expensive, I'll just sell my Bamf 5500 and my Memphis Mojo's and go back to Alpine Type r's or Sundown SA's with a Hifonics 1200.1
Thanks for the Awesome advice you and everyone else has provided me!!! That does it, I'm selling my system and going back to type r's or SA's! Beefing up this electrical system has become a money pit!! Do you think that one battery will be enough to run a 1200 rms + 400 rms system with no voltage drops. Really want to keep it as simple as possible with a single battery, but if not ill keep what I have and go with 2, and built a battery box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifnormally you cant really fit a big enough battery in the front on most cars for a decent battery bank.
