ok this is some **** . I sent the amp into Ampmedics.net and wow . the guy told me that Soundstream didn't fix the amp right when i sent the amp in . he told me their was a bad transformer and , that what caused it to blow . and when it was repaired the power rail was half *** replaced and only half the mosfets were replaced . So i told him to give me the information in writing so i can get soundstream to fix the amp . As soon as i said that he kinda back tracked and told me he didn't want to make waves with soundstream because they give him referals . what kinda **** is that . & why the hell would the amp work for me for a year and not blow , if it had a bad transformer ??? I didn't use the amp for extended period of times . most of the time its just to and from work . but shouldn't if have went out before then if it was halfass repaired and does anyone know who Soundstream sends the amps to for repair or if they do them in shop ?? I got in touch with Soundstream and they told me i could get it fixed for $95 . the amp was fixed by them a year ago , im going to try and talk him down and see if i can get them to fix it for $75

He fixes broken amps all the time and runs them. He currently runs an atomic 7k that he bought broken. He just fixed a DD Z2HV (7K) and has it on ebay.

He is very good with big amps.

I would consider what PAYPAL/EBAY is doing fraud. You can't give the person their money back based solely on their word, especially if the seller is selling "as is".

I know a few lawyers that would have their way, but it would cost a lot more than $240. You can always sue for legal fees and damages (lost time). You would make out far ahead.

The only problem with POS scammers like this is they rarely have active bank accounts with money. It might take quite a while to track them down and get your money, and that is what they are banking on. Don't give up and don't spend any money you don't have to! He blew up YOUR amp. Its not his any more, he used it and he got his money back. That's not fair to you. I don't see why you would pay someone to fix something that this douche damaged? I would be suing him for 3x what its worth to make it worth my time and prevent future scams by him.

And they sent it back to me without a single message and opened a case.

I called ebay. Sbhowed proof it was working when I shipped it. The ebay buyer had to pay me the amount they paid for the amp. $585.00

Repair cost $170 through john who fixes my amps.

I would take this scammer head on.

He looked into the message system and seen where he admitted that the buyer got a working product . He called paypal Dispute department and they opened a appeal . hopefully paypal figures out they made a mistake and gives me a refund

That's how messed up the ebay/paypal buyer protection is. Its so easy for a buyer to screw over a seller. Or abuse the system in another way.

If you don't win the appeal when you have proof that the amp was working. Then you need to call and don't get off that phone until they side with you.

My brother did that with sony. Our ps3 broke 3 times. And my brother called and stayed on the phone for over a half hour. Just birching up a store. Saying that this is messed up that our ps3 broke this much.

After a while. The customer service couldn't take it. They fixed the ps3 for free. And he got them to add a 1 year warranty to mine.

If you don't win the appeal. Call and don't get off the phone. Buyers can't keep abusing the buyer protection like this

yeah im a good arguer lol whenever stuff like this happens i dont let them tell me know and i usually break even in the deal or whatever it was or come out on top . DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU NO . KEEP GOING UP THE CHAIN .
