Why do a majority of "Donks"...

Anybody without knowledge of car audio is going to run what they think is good due to marketing, whether it be a donk, someones daily driver, an 18 wheeler, a school bus (our welding school bus in high school and a pair of Xplod 12s in it)..etc. I'm pretty sure if those people knew the actual good brands what it takes to get loud, they would probably buy it.

Most of the sound off's around here are combined with car shows and all the show cars with custom fiberglass this and chrome that all either use audiobling or stuff that can be had at best buy. Some people just don't care and that stuff is good enough for them, or are completely ignorant and think they have the best stuff.

Some people probably buy Critical Mass because snoop dogg endorses them and you need a celebrity or drug dealer budget to buy a single 12" sub and 1200W of power.... you can't fix stupid.

Also I will call my Senator today and ask him to propose a law forcing sterilization for people who would put those rediculous wheels and product endorsements (that they don't even get paid for) on those poor innocent classic cars.

you obviously didn't get what I was implying.. it is because they are fuckin retarded.. who the fuck gets a car and puts Oreo/coke/dupont/etc etc logos on.. you aren't in nascar you stupid fucks besides the fact that with those heavy rims my slow beater car is faster than them.. it used to be louder til I gutted it ask its now just a gas saver/2nd duty vehicle

how is this any diffrent than getting a truck and spending 10 k lifting it and another 10 in drivetrain tires plus 5k+ in the motor just to throw all those stickers from the parts you bought on it and drive it through a 8 foot deep bog and get it stuck or spending 5k plus on a sound system just to have it rip the car apart, low riders ,drag racing or anything else ect . They do it for the passion of their sport not because its the smartest thing to do wether its performance, audio or visual. Dont knock the people just becase you dont like it, just say its not your thing and leave it at that. Unless of course your mormon and dont splurg at all, then you can feel free to talk about us all

My biggest issue with them is, for the most part, the total lack of attention to the drastically increase unsprung mass and making NO brake upgrades or adjustments to compensate. Which in turn, makes them a safety hazard to me and my son when we are driving somewhere. It is not that bad up here in Maryland, as our MVA is very oppressive and expensive, in addition to the state vehicle laws being very strict and limiting.

Alot of those "poor innocent classic cars" were sitting somewhere rusting before someone found it and had it fixed up/bondo'd back into something presentable.....Some collectors would ask for you to be sterilized if you got a new corvette and drove it in the rain lol

Looking good or outrageous sounds like a purpose to me and if you drive a lifted bogging truck or a street legal race machine on the street your screaming LOOK AT ME IN MY UNUSUAL TOY!!!! anyway ESPECIALLY if you dont ever actually use it for what it has been built to do, I dont get it....you lift a truck thats cool, make a car fast and thats cool, make one loud and thats acceptable also....BUT if you do all three with a nice paint job to one vehicle thats crazy BUT if you do all of the above and LOWER the car then its cool again. Since when did the people of custom cars become so **** discrimatory (is that even a word???)

1. trucks you can actually go offroading/ hunting/ etc with them lifted.. now then the ones that try to make monster trucks or put all the stickers and they never leave the pavement are no better

2. cars supped up to go fast are just in a guys nature.. guys like loud fast things..

3. I dislike lowriders aswell.. completely useless especially trucks..

A vehicle can look good raised or lowered or supped up but there are the extremes which just look stupid.. I.e lowrider, monster trucks, ricers

This.. I hate seeing those stupid things running around with 6" DRUMS on the rear and what looks like like a cd for a disc in the fronts.. Raising the center of gravity increases the forward momentum while braking.

Agreed, but I kind of like a low rider that has normal size wheels and can lower down to scraping the ground OR actually level up to ride properly. Not saying I'd drop money into it, but it seems more practical. Also they generally don't do fast food themes with them.

Buying stupid stuff for your cars is actually good for the economy. Everyone has their own purposes for their vehicle modifications/upgrades/etc. My car is slow and kinda dumb looking, so I saw no reason to do anything to it other than mildly increase my musical enjoyment for my long commute. I'm still running stock comps up front because they sound really good.
