And, double the size of the rotating assembly your stock brakes are asked to stop in a reasonable distance, and of course the physics of the situation speaks for itself. Think of a bolt resisting a little .25 inch ratchet vs. a .5 inch ratchet with a cheater bar. The physics of that are a bit different than that of adding mass to a car which has a given of proper wheel/tire size vs. brakes ratio.

FWIW, my system only weighs around 150 lbs. I weigh 235.
