this unit has just about everything you could ask for except the DPS. not variable xovers to create a 3 way 4 way system but it has everything else that your would expect for a good sound quaintly unit!

32 bit dac(way overkill)

excellent sound shaping DSP

enough power to operate a 1GB hard drive

Supports FLAC

but no crossovers! WTF?

i dont get what you mean? it has 13 band eq. 3 way system on a headunit? does the pioneer 4200 nex have that? I didnt know some units can do 3 way or 4 way crossovers...

Only head unit on the market that does 4 way active networks is the thousand dollar pioneer 99rs single din. Most of pioneer double dins have 3 way active and kenwood is starting to do so as well.

Better yet...try to find a double din with a 3way and a knob. Couple manufacturers have 1 or 2 but becoming extinct it seems.

No 3way pure. The days in most units are decent but they just don't have the processing a 1200$ touchscreen should have.
