I was never really bothered before by the slang used in afro american culture, til I became engulfed in it at my work. It kind of hit me that these people weren't using the language because it sounded neat or was a fad. Simply using it because they were too lazy to speak correctly.

This problem delves deeper than race, because i know some truly ignorant whites who use that same language, or derive other forms of speaking and slang.

But yeah, sometimes black folks need to be more appropriate in public settings.
