LCD Monitor or LCD TV

Well I'm in the process of setting my desktop computer back up. I like to have a big monitor/screen. I'm looking at a 25"-28" monitor but for the price, I can just get a 32" LCD TV. My budget is around $600. Mainly going to be used for PC (downloaded tv shows, movies) and the xb360 will be hooked up to it and played occasionally. The biggest downfall seems to be the resolution 1920x1200 vs 1366x768. The two choices right are are these so far....Somebody convince me..

I would go with a monitor for sure. The picture will be much nicer especially for the PC side. As long as your video card can support these high resolutions.

I have a 22 inch LG L227WTG and I love it. Picture is stunning. I also have a 32 inch LCD TV for my 36. Its nice as well but I gotta say my monitor has much better picture.

And I would not buy a LCD from newegg their stuck pixel policy is horrible. (in fact I would not buy one online peroid)

yeah only things i have ever bought from best buy are my 19" widescreen samsung (gonna buy another soon and go dual's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and some tiesto cd's lol.

I love Viewsonic monitors, very nice picture. I had a 32" but sold it cause I went broke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Now I have a 22" Westinghouse which is alright. I vote monitor as well.

I agree with the Dell that Jmac suggested. Best out there right now. I have a 47" Toshiba 1080p TV that I use as a monitor since my laptop has an HDMI out. At native resolution its incredible.

Whatver you get, make sure the resolution is high. I bought a 32" sharp for 99% tv viewing, but when I connect it to my computer the 1368x768 sucks. Plus depending on your video card, you won't even get a good picture. I don't know if they've fixed it or not, but nVidia has problems displaying on HD tv's, the picture is cut off around all the edges. There is a hot-fix though, but still sucks.

I wouldn't buy any of those ... TN panels fvcking **** ...
Get the Dell 2408WFP ... You won't be disappointed ...
Explain what TN Panels are and why they ****? I love Dell monitors though but I wanted something bigger then a 24". I might have to just stick with a nice 24".

Also why is the

Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP more expensive then the Dell E248WFP when the E248WFP has a lower response time?

Is it even possible to buy a dell monitor at a retail outlet/locally? Can't find any information on it , on the website.

My monitor is a 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p.

Every time I use my computer my **** twitches a little bit. But it also cost me over 1100 before shipping.

I say if you are going high quality on either the pricing will be about the same.
