Why are people so sensitive now?

How did we get to this point though? I remember up until about 2014 or so it wasn't like this. I mean you really had to say something wrong to offend people back then. Now literally any little thing can offend someone and they tell on you or start some drama on social media lol

What you two don't seem to comprehend is it is not that people want to be called whatever they want or be with whomever they want, that isn't the problem. The problem is that these people have cried and whined so much that now other people are forced to, FORCED TO be sensitive to THEIR life choices. If I refer to her AS her and she doesn't like it and complains to HR, my job is in jeopardy. It is her choice to be identified as _________ fill in the blank. It IS NOT her choice that I have to participate in her self image.

She is putting herself in a job around other people. In public she should respect that not everyone has made the choice she has made and she needs to accept that she may be called She, Her, A woman, MA`AM, Miss or whatever. There are still normal/traditional people in the world and just because we identify someone exactly how they appear, doesn't mean we are trying to put them down or hurt their sensitive feelings.

Though the people at work call me Michael I have told them that I now identify as Vagitarian.

Just like insisting on calling someone “she” if the preferred pronoun is “they”. It damages you in no way to respect others, yet you’ll refuse just in order to be a contrarian.

I think there is a difference between a Karen and someone who is offended.

Remember it used to be acceptable to not allow people of color to use a water fountain or a bathroom?
People have learned they don’t HAVE to accept shltty behavior of others.

I was taught that a female human has breast and a vaagina and that a human male has a penis. I was taught that the male has *** with the female to procreate. In college anatomy was a major part of the biology I studied. Guess what, SCIENCE also knows what a female human is and what a male human is as well as why and what for they have reproductive organs.

When I call a female she or any other pronoun that identifies her as a female it is because I was taught that and it is now habit. It is not done out of spite. She can call herself whatever the hell she wants but it will not change biological fact that she is in fact a female human. The only thing she is accomplishing by jumping on the social trend bandwagon is showing that she has a relaxed brain along with all the others who are lying to themselves to escape whatever mental situation they can't deal with like growing up and becoming an adult with adult responsibilities. It is literally one more attempt to escape reality for THEM. There, I said them... happy?
