why are 18"s louder that 15"s and those louder than 12"s. New Subs - rate?

Why i said cone area..... Lol. There a shiit ton factors in car audio!!!
Would still be displacement. The same exact sub, except larger cone area, would equate to more displacement. Even then, it isn't guaranteed, because identical motor force and power handling would be having to move a heavier cone and soft parts structure meaning less xmax. Cone area is not the end all explanation for why subs get loud. Like betternreverse said, BOX BOX BOX BOX BOX.

Not by that much...like not enough worth mentioning, at least in the good brands. The change in moving mass is minimal compared to how much power is being used in most cases.
