I thougth no one around here was up on dat detroit musicI got all their shit....them...Jesse James....all the Street Lordz Cheddar Boys...and Eastside Cheddar Boys...It's a shame what happened to Blade Icewood...he's a Detroit Legend that Blood Sweat and Tears album is a classic....
it isnt like the older stuff, but i wouldnt say it has no rythm. i am just a fan of when music was made more for the love of music, instead of lets get all the music we can out there because that means more music. i feel that because of artists pushing as much music as they can, that it lacks some creativity and originality. There is no real rythm to the newer music.
then how can you possibly make the claim that todays music has no "rythm"?That is why I dont listen to the radio
I thougth no one around here was up on dat detroit music
One thing I would give todays commercial music- rap in particular, is that is DOES have originality. Tell me "crunk" isnt original or "snap music". Regardless of how stupid it is, you cant fault its originality. The problem with commercial rap is that there are very few of those original artists, then along comes 10 other black guys copying the same stupid stuff. Thats the nature of pop music though, its to make money. If you look anywhere other than pop-rap, you will find rappers making music for the sake of music, any big underground artist has likely turned down many record deals with big companies because they know they will be pushed to conform into the pop-rap stereotype. Look for it, its out therethat it lacks some creativity and originality.
