Yesterday I went online and filled out an app at my local BestBuy and today I got a call requesting for an interview. I have an interview tommorrow at noon, someone please give me advice. BTW please don't think I'm spoiled, but this will be my first job interview.

wow your first ones always are the hardest. be cool dont try to be something your not. speak up, offer to give a reach around?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wear kahkis (sp?) and a button down shirt with some dress shoes.

Be courteous and calm, firm handshake, look the people in their eyes. Try not to be jittery like shaking your feet everywhere or messing with something. Keep your hands out of your pockets too. Some people are real anal about that.

At the end they will most likely give you some sort of role play, like they will hand you some random object and say try and sell me this. It a good excersise.

Be honest, confident, polite, proper and calm. They know you're nervous, but that does not matter, you should still maintain your wits and stature.

What should I say that will tell the lady that I have a great interest in electronics?
You should talk to the interviewer about it. They will most likely ask you what you are interested in, and that is your time to shine.

You're either in a managerial position or you had good experiences with GM's and CEO's like I did.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I really need this job, I want to buy my friends tempests and my rent is hella expensive.
A Tempest should not cost more than $100 at this point in time. They were $180 BNIB after shipping from Adire. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Well its two tempests and a nice amp, plus my rent is killing me.

Let's see, since it's your first interveiw

1.) Make sure you shave before you go

2.) If you smoke don't smoke on your way there, you'll smell like it when you go in

3.) Make eye contact

4.)Don't wear a hat, baggy clothes, offensive t-shirts etc...

5.) Be at least 15 min. early

6.) Don't use "slang" words. Since your going for a customer service job they are going to see how well you can communicate with people

7.) this one goes with #6, Don't go into the interveiw with dragon breath. Neither them or the customers want to smell what you ate before you got there so if you have it at the interveiw they might not wanna let you around their customers

How does this sound:

I am a car audio enthusiast, I have always kept up to date on anything that is related to audio. With this passion, I have been able to figure out how the equipment works and I will be able to explain to someone with lesser knowledge how the equipment will benefit them. With electronics being my hobby, it has pursued me to obtain a degree in electrical engineering.

How does this sound??

Oooh, no excess cologne. You should probably just not wear it. Make sure you have taken a shower recently though.

Proper attire is a must, you should know what to wear when you go.

Proper english is good as well, but don't talk as if you're a dictionary. If she is speaking loosley, it is usually acceptable to follow suit, but while still refraining from words like yea, uh huh, etc, etc, etc.

It sounds good but try not to say it as if you wrote it out ahead of time. If you were to say that, it would be kind of like reading a paper to her, and she doesn't want that.
