Windows has over 50,000 known virus'. Linux and Mac only have about 5. And its almost impossible for them to do anything without a root password.

And the reason he suggested anti virus is becuase mac is so much bigger than it was 10 yrs ago. Hes doing it to cover his ***. And no im not a mac fanboy.

And these little "benchmarks" you found, do some of the test yourself. Ive tried 7 on an older pc and it ran like shit. Xp ran alot better (amd althon 1.8ghz, 256mb ram, 40gb hd)

Im a Computer Network Admin. HP sucks as a company BTW, but thats another story for another day. Like I said divide the market share by the viruses and there are more viruses per Linux and Mac than there are on Windows. Seen as how you work for HP its pretty clear to me on how you dont know jack shit as all the HP techs that Ive ever had contact with.

He suggest an AV because Macs get viruses. Not to cover his ***. Get off Steve Jobs and Linus Torvalds nut sack and do some research.

BTW Im not really into feeding trolls. So Im done arguing with you. Your lack luster knowledge from HP is clearly beyond me. I dont really feel like lowering my IQ for an outsourced retard.

Last time i looked there was under 10 for linux but for **** sake lets say there are 50.

Probably. Im on x64 Pro. I couldnt justify the extra money on Enterprise or Ultimate for the features that Id never use.

I have the Windows 7 32 bit on a new Dell laptop, it's only used for the Termlab though, never tried it for anything else. My iMac is for everything else. The Windows 7 does seem alot faster and easier to use than the XP, but still way behind a Mac.
