Whos using windows 7?

i am using windows xp service pack 3. sometimes also used windows vista. but never used windows 7? how is it? i am using 2 gigabyte ram. if any one know that please try to help me. ow i am using dual core processor and intel dg41 motherboard. which operating system will bw best for me?

I've used Windows 7 Ultimate since the RC release, and got RTM from MSDN a couple weeks after it was released.

If you have problems, try Compatibility mode. Most of the games I have tested work with Windows 7, or with compatibility mode enabled. Sometimes I have to run Compatibility mode on Windows 98/ME to get some games to work. If XP doesn't work at all, try the 98/ME mode. I've played GTA : SA on Windows 7, so it definitely DOES work. Could be a bad install.

win 7 will run 10 times as fast as vista

use the windows site to determine if your comp is compatible they have a tool that scans ur comp and tells you

9/10 will be fine tho if it works for xp it usually works flawlessly on 7

Genius. Dont know why i didnt try that, but i put it on 98/me and it went right to the menu this time, havent played yet though but got farther than i did before. Also on a fresh install this time. Thanks man

Is this true in all cases?
I have an eight year old computer with XP on it and might put 7 on it just for the hell of it.
On an identical setup, that is "up with the times" Windows 7 is well optimized to run just as fast/faster in some cases as XP. My buddy is running an old AMD Sempron 2600+, 1GB Ram, and a FX5200. He runs Windows 7 great, but without Aero, due to the graphics card not supporting Pixel Shader 3.0 (IIRC). One of the most wanted features is Aero with Windows 7, so if you're interested in Aero you may want to look into upgrading your graphics card on such an old rig.

My HP DV6258SE laptop came with Win Vista 32-bit on it. It ran like shit until I had everything optimized beyond belief. I spent hours fixing issues and shit out of the box. As soon as I got my Win7 32-bit MSDNA license I tossed that on. No issues what so ever and its faster without tweaks than Vista was with tweaks.

windows 7 sucks :-D
You must be a Steve Jobs nut-hugger /response

run it in compatibility mode for xp it should work fine.
Compability mode is only available with Pro and Ultimate. If he's using Home Premium or Starter, it's not an option

win 7 is all the glam of vista with the speed and compatibility of xp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
