On Lil' Wayne. He definitely has the potential to be one of the best alive. He needs to cut back from mainstream and just spit fire like he can.

Lil Wayne not even in my top 100, but that's how much Pac wasn't shit on the mic. He was a mentality. Dudes wanted to dress like him, be like what they thought he was. Dude went to a fuking art school. Acting in plays and shit. He was fake. Read Russell Simmons. Says him and big were cool. Shit was all to sell records.
Do this.......... Go listen to "One Love" by Nas and then look at close to the end of the movie Belly. They made a scene in the movie after a verse on that song. Song came out like 6 or 7 years before the movie. Pac never had some creative shit like that that could be made into a movie scene.

and run dmc had aerosmith one of the biggest bands of all time make a song with them. They also influenced more artists then one could count.

And they must be big on keeping the lie alive because I heard an interview recently with Snoop saying getting cloe to Pac's death they stopped being cool since Snoop did not have beef with Biggie.

Wasn't even that. They were cool. Snoop was about to leave because he was not #1 on the label anymore and Dre was already gone. It was business, but the controversy sells the records. The whole beef between Big and Pac was supposedly over him getting robbed at some studio when he was in NY. Just so happened that Bad Boy was killing the record sales at the time and Death Row only had one decent act (Snoop). Snoop had no beef with nobody. He wanted to sell records and make money.

I wasn't saying that all rappers are killers and drug dealers. Hell they are basically writing poems and shit. It's art before it's anything. But artists today seem to be using the same fuked up paint and canvas.

You gotta thank Rick Rubin for that. A fat Jewish dude that helped form Def Jam. He did Beastie Boys first (and best) album. See 99 problems video and the dude in the fur coat along with Russell Simmons (Run's brother) put that together.
