Whos pulling 150s in daily driver?

I was curious as to who on here has actually hit close/over the 150 mark and with what kind of equipment, money, etc. Im not much into the comp scene but ive been thinking about it and i just wanted to see a ballpark of what kind of money is spent if i do get into it. I might try getting an 82 civic from a guy if i decide to get into the whole comp thing. Looks like a good little car to build

highest ive done on the dash is 149.9. with 2 15"s on 4kw. i did a 151.6 on music in the kick at a USACi comp w/ same setup. this was all on the TL.

as far as money, atleast $600-800 in just electrical upgrades, amp and subs were about $900-$1000 iirc

it takes quite a bit to get in the 150's DAILY, good chunk of cone area and/or tons of power with electrical to back it up. and a good enclosure first and foremost

your CircuitCity pre-fabs are NOT going to get you in the 150's

I could build everything im sure. Right now i just have a basic daily setup for music but its loud as hell compared to most of what ive heard. Only louder thing ive heard was 3 type xs running on around 3k in a wall. Im only at around 600wrms with 2 budget 15"s, electrical is beefed up a bit and i could prolly do 1k in my daily driver with no drops below 14v, but thats with a factory 80 or 63 amp alt + 2 redtops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I most likely wont put any more money into this setup unless its going ported with it. (which i wouldnt mind doing just to make it a bit louder) I still have to deaden the trunk, thats not done at all so i think thatll make it louder as well. Really though I'd like to get a small car and do a decent ported build with maybe 2 15s or 18s. Ill actually save up and buy decent equip this time. I can get rockford p1000.1bds for roughly 150 each so thatd probably be the amps i use if i did a spl build. Trying to throw some numbers together to see what i need to save

good luck getting 150 daily out of those amps.

ive done it with a few different vehicles and systems. a lot of $ and time went in to them though. which is why now i am getting away from the larger systems.

just to much money for me for right now. other things are more important for now.

I didnt do my setup to do well on the meter (tuned LOW, non-SPL build).

hitting 149 @ 29hz, 4 15's, 4krms

what makes hitting 150+ expensive is the electrical upgrades. Its not that hard to hit a 150 if you have plenty of power.

yes elect upgrades hit me last year for a LOT since i used so many setups and vehicles.

from amps and of course being able to supply them

I am pretty sure im in the 150's I kinda wanna downgrade though cause its tearing my car apart which really sucks. So expect that if you want a 150 daily driver.

my previous setup with 2 15's and 8K were doing low 150's on music. Overall cost was around $3G... I had a terrible voltage so Im sure anoth grand was needed to fix that.. My new one should be a 150 music machine and is running me so far $1500
