Who's got their house pop done for the year?

Never shot one in the house. I have 2 close calls. Once then my cousin was trying to get his Mosen Nagant to eject the round. He was working the bolt fast hoping it would catch it. It went off about 2 ft from me. We were loading the guns back in his car. He shot a hole through a box of whine (that must have slowed it down enough), through the trunk floor, and dented his new exhaust. Luckily he missed that gas tank or any important suspention parts. Another time a hair triggered revolver dropped its hammer (wasn't in my possession) and kicked dust up at my foot about 2 feet away when I was going to stand the targets back up.

Stuff happens, all you can do is slow down, double check, and think about what could possible be hit before dry firing a gun. Glad the kids and car are ok

Its ********* like you that shouldn't own guns. What if that wall was your child instead?
It was an accident, albet a big one, but I'm normally safe around guns. Been around them my whole life, plus the deployments and carrying daily. Wouldn't have been my kids instead of the wall since I don't point it at what I don't plan to shoot. Thats why it was down and to the wall and not at them.

Thou I will admit I was careless, just gotta not get complacent.

So who wants to go deer hunting with me???

Good thing you didn't handle firearms when you were in that sand trap a few months back lulz

Did mine 2 years ago

GF says no more shooting guns in the house so I had to skip this year I guess

Like the OP, I never ever let a gun be pointed towards anything that I would not want to shoot.

Glock 9mm

I ended up slam firing my AR in the basement trying to clear a jammed chamber. Even if I think my gun is empty I will rack the slide or pull the charging handle right before I pull the trigger.

nope just a desk pop, haha

Seriously though, I had a pretty close call with my .380 one day. I thought it was empty and for some reason squeezed the trigger, just missed my foot. Everyone thought I meant to do it.... I'm scared to even mess with my gun in the house because I'm worried about something like that happening. Thing's got a hair trigger...

I had a close call like this when i was a kid. friend left a shell in his gun and we got back to his house. We were takign the guns out to clean them and he pointed it at the ceiling almost shot it. If he would of bird shot would of went all over. I asked him why he didnt and he said he didnt feel it.
