Who's good with Pioneer head units?

What's the deal with it being able to use the internal 18rms amp to power the speakers while simultaneously feeding the preouts for the amped speakers?

Every head unit I've had before you've had to choose one or the other. Will powering some speakers that do well with low power AND using the preouts to and amp induce distortion?

I wouldn't mind running 4 high power speakers off my amp and 4 low power speakers off my head unit if there are no negative consequences..

I don't see why there would be an issue as long as you keep all the signals clean

I've read that the heat from the Internal amplifier causes the THD to rise.
