No, the H701 is not the F1 status processor.

Retail on the PXA-H701 processor unit is $550, retail on the RUX-C701 is ~$300 (for a total of ~$850 for the pair). Price really isn't bad considering it's one of the most flexible and user friendly processors on the market.

I bought the H701/C701 combo (brand new from an authorized dealer), a HU with co-axial digital output and a co-axail to Toslink convertor (and had that convertor modded for 12VDC use) all for around $640. Granted the sub ch being summed from Ch1/2 is not the greatest scenario

It'll leave you having to use ch 1/2 for midbass, with a LP.

Condidering everything else it can do...all u need is to use a remote gain on the sub amp mounted up front to directly control the sub level...if it doesnt have one a level attentuator is only a few bucks.
