yeah at least get a b/g card so if you ever want to spend the $40 on a new G router you can. Shit i just got a sweet linksys compact router/access point/4 port switch for $60. Nice for adding wifi anywhere you go since its small enough to go into the lappy bag.

Its smaller and looks more comfortable than that logitech mouse. Its a laptop mouse though so its smaller than a regular mouse.

i would see if your laptop has a mini PCI slot...even if it didnt come with wifi built in maybe you have the port to add it...like this

i dont know anything about that one. But it looks like it should work. I dont like buying crap like that without reading some customer reviews though.

I would try to get one of these cheap for about $30-35, just cuz id rather byu a brand i know is pretty good.

i understand being hesitant to crack it open, but its not that bad. And besides you will want to clean the fnas inside every now and then to keep temps down. Its kinda fun taking them apart actually. Plus its prolly hella easy if you laptop has the port...more than liekly just a cover you unscrew and pop it in.
