i have a friend thinks he's the **** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/driving.gif.c4dead4599dda895032b63e51f52b126.gif about knowing every thing about his stereo and his truck when hes around his other freinds but when there not around and i am he will admit he dont know what the hell hes talking about. but he thinks that his system sounds good when hes got 2 lighting audio 10"s they are different one has a higher rating and a jensen 460 2channel amp and a aiwa hu not to mention the subs are in 2 boxes he maid that are only like 12x12 by 5 inches deep there like 1/4 inch plywood boxes and the sides are like peaces of pine wood and not sealed.

around here, there is this guy who drives a lexus IS300 (spoiled) and has 2 10" audiobahn sub. not sure what kind. all his friends were praising his system and such. he told my friend "i have audiobahn subs. they are the best u can get. for speakers, i have stock one because they are clear enough for me". with that being said..he knows nothing about sound quality and installation. lol.

then my friend's friend said "don't get alpine or pioneer..get audiobahn or kenwood headunits. alpine..u can take out the faceplate easily and it will get stolen. i know because i stole some already" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif then he proceeds in telling my friend "when i get my system, i'm going to get tweeters. they make the system sound soooo good.

then there is this guy who is sponsored by alphasonik. 4 12's in a sealed box with their 2 biggest amp. its loud for sure, but it was also in an SUV. plays the same bass song over and over everyday. rolls down his window and puts on his sunglass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

my friend has the RE SE 15" (which i'm using as my computer sub right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)with 2 pairs of cdt audio coaxial, alpine cda-7977 (no internal amp), etc.

then my other friend has a 12L7 with a lanzar optidrive amp. sounds clean and hits **** hard for a sub in a 1.25 cube sealed box.

my other friend has a 12W7 with a hifonics BX1500 amp. sealed box, but it gets so **** loud. ported would have killed his car. lol.

my friend just got 2 12" pioneer VCCS's running off of a kenwood KAC-729s so he has about 300W to each....it gets pretty loud, but sounds INSANELY shitty as far as SQ goes. when i get some e12k's they are all gonna beg me to turn it down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what kind of box does your friend have? i used those kinds (10" though) and i must say the sound quality is almost as good as my e15k.
