There are a few things i do to sell it. Not sure what dept you guys work in, but i am in entertainment and home audio. Like said befor mention it thruout the sale so it doesnt come as a suprise. Also when you go into detail with it use the brochure. Explain it smoothly and dont choke up. I am not sure how hard selling it for car audio is but I know the plans arnt that much. For me tho its a little harder becuase the plans sometimes cost a third of the tv. But once you get a flow and get comfortable with it, it gets easier.

yeah i know how it is... but my salespeople never do it and my sales dont' count as the asst S&I but i'm above all our salespeople... like said above don't tell them about it at the register... specially at the end of the sale... if you say your total is $219.74, and did you knwo for $19.99 more you can cover your radio for two years?... and don't lie and say if ANYTHING goes wrong with it... because physical damage doesn't count... but i always tell them about it when showing the product... if you can demo it do that... i always tell them a little bit about the product... then ask if they've ever purchased anything from circuit city? if they say no i explain to them what CA does on the products... speakers... switch them out... radios... send to service center... and so on... and tell them how much it is... how it's helped me **cuz God knows it has on 3 radios... cheap dvd player... and cheap house phone**... then at the register always show them the product with the warranty...i always tell them i'm not forcing it on them because i do not make commission off of anything i sell... i'm only trying 2 show you your options... once they realize i'm not pushing them to make myself money... half the customers buy it... i was at 18% MTD the other day... i just do it to prove 2 my salespeople it CAN be done if you do it right... and dont' FORCE anything on the customers... i hate 2 be forced into sales as well...
