Planning on a 280A alt and 3 Kinetic HC2400's...one under the hood and 2 in the back...

I think it is possible to run it at .5 on that setup. I can't make any guarantees though.

You would be better off with an amp that you KNOW will run at .5

Thats what I was thinking...the VFL 200.1 is about the same and would do the 2/.5 option well. Plus Bthnfan has one for $600 shipped!

Heh, since you mentioned that.....terrible.

Its the worst dash car I've ever seen. 147.7 with the car off.

It's not that it hates the dash, it hates being sealed up. If I open the door, the dash and kick at only 1 dB apart. My guess is because there isn't a lot of air to pressurize inside the cabin.

147.7 legal on the dash, car off

One of the biggest differences I've ever seen or heard of.

Wow, I didn't expect that! Does it still peak at the same frequency while sealed? If not, I bet a different enclosure with ports and sub in different places could help but the score is still nice as it is. Even a 147.7 sealed isn't too bad itself.

The note is 43 hz when the truck is sealed up.

If I flip the box around, I MIGHT gain .5 or so, but i'm not entirely sure on that.
